Sure. But the skills are really loud and the EVs are elite for his age. And he was at least impressive in the FCL.

Maitan was never impressive at any level at any age. Pretty much the same for Edward Salcedo.

Also, Teheran was a huge hit. He was an expensive signing and the largest signing of any international pitcher that cycle.

I pulled some data from Michael Martinez in the FCL so far (minus 2 games which didn't have any tracking info).

He has put 20 balls into play that we have data on. The average EV on those 20 balls is a ridiculous 95.375 mph and he's already topping out at 112 mph. This kid is 19 folks and already is putting up 99th percentile EVs.

He may be good and I like the talent, but calling him a dude in FCL is too much.

And $850,000 is different than almost $6m.

Now with his 3rd homer of the season. A cool 1.328 OPS now.
