The Atlanta Braves

Isn't it wild how the footage of him looks ancient already? It looks like it is from 1975, not 2005.
Part of the reason for the poor quality is how it is originally recorded and then how it is uploaded on YT. The live version would have looked a lot cleaner, depending on what sort of TV you were watching it on.

The quality in the video is probably an accurate representation for what I would have saw. I was in college in 2005, so I would have been watching it on something like this, lol:

Unfathomably based screenshot.

The luxury tax is a pretty effective deterrent as long as they can stop the deferred payments crap. The Dodgers paying the best player in the majors a 2 million dollar base salary is a laughably unfair advantage.

I hope you get a royalty for every time you make this post.

Sell them to someone that cares pls
Unless if they ever entertain selling the team and The Battery as separate entities (probably not; the whole idea was to create a vehicle that owned both), any potential buyer is going to be someone who is more interested in the real estate side. It's higher margin, faster growing, and overall more profitable than the team.

We're 6th in payroll currently. We've also gone over the luxury tax in 2 of the last 3 years, and we also project go over the tax this year.

I think it's a bit unfair to say that ownership doesn't care. At the very least, they are not much of a hinderance. It isn't their fault AA has tied up a bunch of payroll/luxury tax space with unnecessary extensions, while letting franchise icons walk.

Lot of words to say people should stop crying about what the dodgers are doing and start asking questions about their “owners”

From what I can tell, net profit was around 100 million from all total operations, including the Battery.

That is our by far our best year yet. And it is still less than 1/3 of what the Dodgers estimated to have generated in profit last year. And that's with the Dodgers essentially setting 150 million on fire with luxury tax payments.

But sure, the Braves could totally spend like the Dodgers do.....
