it’s because we exist on the periphery of being serious, we love high risk, high reward players because we can buy low or pay underslot. It’s fine to do this on occasion but this is more of organizational philosophy than a calculated riskBraves can't have nice things. Something is up with this team and conditioning. Too many major injuries to major players for it all to just be bad luck. Did they sell their soul for that series title 5 years ago?
Entire rotations don't spend significant portions of the season on the IL with the frequency ours does, though. 5 of the top 7 rotation guys ended the season on the 60-day IL, last year. You are correct on the draft strategy, though.Pitchers get hurt pretty frequently. The problem is, we a doubled down on that injury risk and kept investing early round picks into guys that have already been injured.
