The Atlanta Braves

Pretty good six year run and that 2 month stretch during COVID when he turned into McGwire was ****ing awesome
2021 and 22 were obviously not good, but overall, for an organization that just doesn’t go after top free agents, his six seasons were a success. Even when he was bad, dude could protect the guy hitting in front of him just because he always looked like he was going to hit the next pitch 4 miles.

Weiss’ comments about analytics when he was first hired has me clinging to a little hope
Snit said the same stuff from time to time. There was an interview he did with the 680 The Fan guys a few years ago where he said something to the effect of you had to adapt to using it in today's game, and if you didn't like it as a manager then it was probably time to get out.

His time here was fascinating. In his 6 seasons, he had:

- 2 years where he was among the best hitters in the entire league
- 2 years of being below replacement level, arrested
- 1 year of way above average hitting
- 1 year of being an OK hitter

Mark Bowman still expects us land another pitcher, whether by trade or FA signing. He, like many others, believes Bassitt is the most likely candidate.
