The Atlanta Braves

It can be frustrating for sure, but the pieces are there. 3rd down correction and we might have something

Our offense is 132nd in TOP. Defense is out there for 86 plays per game, that's dead last in the country. We definitely have to work on 3rd/4th down (McCoy could really help that) and being better against the run on 1st down.

We are 28th in yards per play though. 70th in points per play. Not perfect. Not a disaster.

Bobby been plotting on the whole staff lmao
The real story there is that he's evidently got authority from his bosses to do it.

If they give him the full-time gig after the season, without a search, there's a minority of their fanbase that would love it (kind of like how we've still got people who would take Kiffin back) and the rest would absolutely lose their minds.

Also just thinking how easily we could have made that a 2-score game if:

Matthews doesn't drop an easy EASY EASY TD
Kitselman catches or it tips more favorably on both INT's
Brazzell doesn't get called for one of the worst OPI's in mankind history

Is this a jab at the guy coaching the number 4 team in the country at noted powerhouse university of mississippi? Because 0/10 on the execution and comparison.

It's not a jab; it's more just a statement of what happened. There's similarities and differences. Kiffin's gone on to be a great coach at another school; Petrino was at Arkansas for 4 years and was really good. His last season there was probably one of their 2 or 3 best seasons in school history.

The point is that there are people in both fanbases who'd take a guy back who absolutely f'd them.

The Matthews drop gets negated by the State drop, imo.

Arkansas is a tough job. If you're doing power rankings of the 16 SEC programs, where would you put them? Somewhere around 11 to 13?

Their fans want to consistently win 8 or 9 games a year, and occasionally win double digits. That's tough when there are only 3-5 programs in your conference who have less resources than you.

I think NIL is going to make it more appealing. Tyson and Walmart money will cover a lot of shortcomings

If McCoy comes back even close to form, he and Hood are going to be miserable to face. I also think Hobbs is a real difference maker, so happy to have him back as well.

Harmon and Perlotte need to slowly get more reps. Gotta figure out what you have at LB.

Above them (not in order):

VOLS
Texas
Ou
Barn
Bama
LSU
UGA
UF
A&M
OM

Maybe they’re 11 right there with Mizzou and Scar?

It’s also tough when you’re willing to give 7 figures to one of the biggest turds of a human that’s ever put on a headset who got them literally sued the last time he worked there lol.

NIL's been around for a few years now and that money still hasn't shown up. Even if it does, I still think that would only bump them up to a middle of the pack SEC program, at best. They'd still be behind all the programs in Wick's list except for Ole Miss.

Don’t care that he’s not even 205 lbs, Spillman got to play over Telander. He just doesn’t know where to go 70% of the time.

Ms St was super weird defensively. We scored 14 points on defense, had 5 sacks and 11 TFLs. All of those represent season highs. We also only gave up 378 yards of total offense. From these numbers alone, you would assume we dominated them defensively.

Yet we gave up 34 points and their running game gashed us all day long. Luckily they never figured out they could have run it on all 4 downs and we likely would never stop them.

There are a lot of situations you could say this about I guess, but I can't believe Lebby threw the ball 3 times with all 3 timeouts (I think) on their last offensive drive and the first play after the fake punt was a pass. I know we played the run better in the fourth and in OT, but still.

It helps when they had 3 TD drives less than 35 yards
