The Atlanta Braves

Okay, here's the problem. We are not producing them at a good rate. You keep saying "We are producing quality MLB talent at a good pace", but a huge crux of your argument is based on 2018-2021, where the players producing were not picked by the current GM and we had an elite farm system. Guys like Riley, Soroka, Wright were not selected by AA's team. The GM currently in charge has produced 4 decent MLB players in 7.5 seasons at the helm through scouting. He's produced zero infielders, zero bullpen arms and he's so smart that the catcher he drafted that is producing is blocked because he traded for a catcher and gave him $75M after drafting Baldwin.

My guy, the 2023 and 2024 drafts are impossible to judge right now. So far, the only bad draft was 2018. 2023 might be a dud, but it's still far too early to make that distinction.

Question our methodology on having several pitching heavy drafts is valid though.

That’s fine. Book is out on the man and he will never have continued success until he can stop swinging at everything tho.
I'm sure the struggles haven't helped his pitch selection either. He's quite clearly been pressing for awhile. Despite the struggles, his K rate hasn't really changed. He's just stopped hitting with any authority. If he can get the swing figured out, everything else should fall in place.

Is there any reason that we are starting Joey Wentz and not Hurston Waldrep? I’d rather give Waldrep 3 months as a starter and see what he is long term

Honestly wouldn't be surprised to see the Braves sweep. Tonight is the only game I think we have a shot. They didn't even try yesterday throwing Hamilton as the starter. Stroman will get teed up tomorrow.
