There are some Braves beat writers/prospect analyst who were high on high both of these guys before the draft. Supposedly several teams had McKenzie in their top 50 but were scared off by his asking price and his commitment to LSU.

Meh, it’s all a crap shoot. I like the first six picks. The lefty from Arkansas is probably a reliever and after that, couldn’t care less.

If they hit on one or two from this draft, I’m happy with it. Given the immediate need in the middle infield, these guys will have to be horrible to not get a shot.
