We're a full baseball season removed from Chip leaving, and the move still makes no sense. Didn't he say something the other day about how he enjoyed his job this season for the first time in 20 years? What in the hell was going on in ATL for him?

I dunno - I actually believed him when he said it was 100% his decision. Given his familial ties, that felt like a job he would have forever barring some kind of egregious misconduct. I'm not sure what motive the Braves would have for pushing him out the door.

I have wondered if he and Frenchy didn't get along. They never overtly butted heads on-air, but he seems to have a much better rapport with Gaudin, like they actually like being around each other.
