The Atlanta Braves

Snell has no wins, no innings and leads the league in walks. He’s not actually going to win because ERA, right?

The Cy Young is down to Strider and Justin Steele, IMO. If Strider gets two more starts and does well in both, that should secure it for him.

I don’t think Steele is a serious contender to win. It’s important to point out Snell is like -2000, but also it’s projecting who will win (aka get the votes) and not who should win.

You’re going to have traditional ERA/run prevention guys vote Snell (although I would think this crew would be more inclined to ding the walk rate/WHIP, lower win total) or the statheads who vote Strider. If you squint hard enough, Steele maybe kind of forms a middle ground between the two but he’s not going to get enough attention from either school of thought IMO

Leading the league in wins, strikeouts, WHIP, FIP and setting a new K% record would typically be a slam dunk but Snell’s ERA is a legitimate 1.5 r/9 lower and the betting market clearly thinks it’s his.

Weird all the way around

Definitely lacking a slam dunk winner. I do believe it was (and maybe still is) Strider’s to lose, but he did his damndest to lose it with 6IP/4ER against LA and then a 2.2IP stinker against Philly in consecutive starts.

Tough decision Max will want big money ...I think they let him go and sign Strider and Elder to big contracts eventually...
Fried has a blister and injury history and I believe that Strider has already signed a 6 year contract deal.

If Morton retires, Anthopoulos nrrds to sign someone like Greinke to a two year deal this off season.
