What’s even more hilarious about the strategy is that we’ve shown we can take mid round pitchers and develop them! Elder/Strider/AJSS all were mid round guys that have been good, shown potential. And it’s like “Keep taking college pitchers! Can’t have too many arms!”

I mean I get we have every position besides LF locked down for the next 3-5+ years but man like the pipeline has three hitters that maybe, kinda sorta could turn into something. And one of those is a 17 year Latin American kid. Like, just replenish the system at some point with a couple bats

Another way to look at it (not saying it’s right, wrong, or even a solid plan) is that if you are the one that has arms, you find yourself holding the cards in most any deal.
