The Atlanta Braves

Ronnie
Winker
Riley
Olson
Contreras
Harris
TDA
Shortstop
Ozzie

Might be the best lineup in the NL.

Said this in the Commander’s thread last week, dude can’t break 200 yards passing and still somehow has them in a position to possibly win it every game. One week he blows it with a terrible pick like against the Vikes. Next week he’s playing almost flawlessly against an undefeated Eagles team but still needs a ridiculous late hit call to secure that game. The man is exciting, not always in a good way, but I know I never want to see Wentz ever again (didn’t really want to see him in the first place to be honest)

Man some of the stuff that is floating out there is just really hard to believe but makes sense..

Rumors of the defense just straight laying down, surely they wouldn’t but there isn’t really any justification for what USC did last Saturday night

Right. Not like it makes them look good on film for next year, to transfer or for the next level. The game plan was horrendous, the adjustments were worse, and the majority of the players on that side just aren’t great

Austin Burlage, a Vol film guy I follow on twitter. Said we maybe played 3 coverages at the most and we essentially played single high sending five every play in the first half. It's like Banks forgot to install a game plan.

Do guys not know how the CFP works? lmao Or were they all about winning the conference, not caring at all about a playoff berth?

In the preseason there was tremendous emphasis, and for good reason, on "the goal" being to make it to Atlanta. After the UGA game, they knew that wasn't going to be achieved. Did a bunch of dudes on defense just lay down after that? It wasn't like they played great, especially in the first half, against Mizzou either. But why would just the defense lay down?

South Carolina also completely junked up their offense after last week and with no real options at RB. I've seen them a fair amount and they've tried to be a lot more of a downhill running team. Could be a function of them doing what they thought would work, but it's the first time I've seen them be anywhere near that vertical and Rattler not look like a deer in headlights. It blew my mind that we didn't eventually just concede that we had no pass rush and just start dropping 8 to slow them down a little.

Rattler was amazing. Dude “threw” the ball away several times for 8 yard completions somehow. They hit every deep ball or got a penalty as well. It was his night unfortunately

No doubt about it. We got continually burned, but there were plenty of throws where the coverage just didn't matter. We let him get comfortable and you could just see his confidence grow.
