Down bad 😔

He is such a strange player tbh.
He’s not. He makes a ton of contact, most of it very weak, because he has elite hand-eye coordination and absolutely zero plan or approach.

Instead of swinging at pitches he can actually hit hard, he just swings at most everything resulting in a bunch of poor contact because he’s good at putting the bat on the ball. He sacrifices quality on contact for quantity. It is a pitchers best friend. Early soft contact.

He hasn’t figured out that just because you can hit it doesn’t mean you should hit it. You work through it a lot with hitters .. as they’re approaching high school.

Didn't the Braves make him a switch hitter too? It would help a lot if we just let him hit from his natural side all the time.

I think him being bad RH this year is most concerning. It goes back to his approach like TB said. Guys like him and Bo Bichette should never see a strike lol. They’d get themselves out on terrible pitches

I understand the argument about his approach. Every end of game big situation he's in I feel like I could bet on Ozzie to swing at the first pitch and I'd have a 95% hit rate on that bet.

How’s the baby girl? @Wickman
She’s doing good. Responding well to antibiotics. Swelling is all but gone. The infection was Pseudomonas aeruginosa, which is coincidentally something I deal with a lot at my job. The strand of PA is a strand that isn’t resistant to any specific antibiotics which is a good thing. They’re gonna install a PICC line so we can administer the antibiotics at home for at least 6 weeks. The big concern with PA is that it is very sticky and can attach itself to the dissolvable plates that she has stabilizing her skull. So they’re gonna have to overkill to make sure that the infection is completely eradicated. They will be removing her drain soon too. She’s feeling good and playing with her toys and laughing. So that part is a blessing. We are going to have to stay another night but hopefully going home at some point tomorrow.
