The Atlanta Braves

No.. his agent way overplayed their hand/leverage. He wanted nothing but to be in Atlanta.
I agree. I think they tried to wait out another offer from ATL that never came. After state taxes, the difference in the 2 deals was $5 million and a 6th year. I have a hard time believing that really was enough to sign elsewhere.

Did you see the deferred $ numbers? He’s definitely making less in LA.

And, now Freddie is saying there was no urgency from the Braves other than one call before the lockout and one call right after. Sounds like once he went free agent, they made an offer and weren't going to negotiate. I think Covid and the ensuing revenue uncertainty and then the lockout all just came together in perfect storm of bad timing to make an extension hard to pull off.

Man, too bad he doesn’t have an agent or anything that can, idk, make a call or something if he really wanted to be in Atlanta

Freddie just needs to shut up at this point. Dude man your agent was the one who wouldn’t negotiate and then went to the enemy when the Braves wanted an answer by ST, it’s not AA’s fault
Gotta wonder if his agent didn’t tell him about the “ultimatum” he gave the Braves.

This is getting bizarre. What did he think was going to happen once he didn’t sign and a shortened Spring Training started?

Freddie got a solid offer from Atlanta. He didn’t take it. He took the LA deal. Just own it dude and move on. Id have more respect for him if he would just say “yeah man no offense to Atlanta, I just wanted to live in So Cal with my family” than this “I was so betrayed” BS
