The infield is locked in. The bullpen is locked in. There’s not really any needle moving SP available. We have money to spend. The OF is the place to upgrade. Opportunity cost more so to me. Like I said, addresses a need. Would absolutely rather have him than no one but would have preferred Conforto.

Oh I would too. Conforto would have been a perfect fit. But Rosario at $9M is a really solid deal. 114 OPS+ the previous four years before being hurt in Cleveland. Decent corner fielder.

Id love to find an everyday CF, then platoon Rosario/Duvall. That would be the dream.

Also Rosario’s walk rate almost went up 3% since 2020 from his previous career average. If he’s walking 7% of the time with his power (like he did last year) he’s a damn steal at $9M
