The Atlanta Braves

I love you and Brown but you’re not winning this argument. Chuck has sucked past the 6th and third time through and his fastball location was gone. I’m fine going with him to start against Garcia R/R but with three lefties up should have been Matzek as soon as he hit him. He’s also a 38 year old pitching in a high stress situation in a 0-0 game.

That is not an indictment on Chuck. He was awesome. But manager has to know the numbers and pull him.

Never want to lose the first game but it was unrealistic to believe we’d take the first two. Max has been arguably the best SP since the break. Win tomorrow and all is well.

We can just agree to disagree bro. In the playoffs I want to go down with my best pitchers. Morton is vet with a ton of postseason experience. I’ll ride with that every time over the current pen. His pitch count was nothing.

Either way, your only run can’t be a pinch hit homer run

Also could argue should have pulled Fred for Gore and steal with that high leg kick Hader has

The fact that you posted “Jesse Chavez has been great this year” is the final straw of you losing your freaking mind

You know who has been better than great this year? Lance Lynn. IT DOESNT MATTER WHEN YOUR REPERTOIRE IS ****.

I mean, are we really going to keep arguing about pitching though, when the offense only mustered 4 hits. Let a pitcher go 20+ pitches in the first then throw 6 more innings. And the only run came from a solo shot from a PH. I think the offense was a bit of a bigger issue.

Dogs eat. You don’t smoke and mirrors October.

And you don’t overuse your starter especially against a team that pitches like that in the postseason. You have to be on high alert.

Look if he looked strong in the 6th, then gave up a bloop and a blast to start the 7th I’d defend. But Snit has to know how bad Chuck has been after 6/TTO. And yes the pitch count was low 80’s but you and I both know postseason baseball is different than pitching in front of 10K in Miami on a Saturday in August.

He lost his command in the 6th. You saw it. He battled (and thanks to Wong’s idiocy) and got through it but after he missed two bad fastballs to Garcia and hit him he should have pulled him. Matzek/Jackson are lined up 7th/8th anyways. And Snit immediately pulled him after he gave up the home run, so he had him on a short leash anyways. If it’s gonna be that short than pull him so you don’t have to do after damage has been done.
