It’s a shame we couldn’t have signed him long term. I think he even wanted to stay in Atlanta but Braves thought he was too pricey. Imagine him hitting third on those 2009-2013 teams.

D’Arnaud and Ynoa nearing their return. Anybody seen anything on Ozuna? He could be close to coming back from the broke fingers but there’s the issue of the dv. Would the team even welcome him back? If he is able to come back that lineup would be cooking with gas even without Acuna.

That still doesn’t fix the pen but I might have a solution for that. You could piggyback the starters for at least 3 games of a series and then use the pen for the back end of the 4th game. For example:

Game 1: Morton/Toussaint
Game 2:Fried/Ynoa
Game 3:Anderson/Muller
Game 4: Smyly/Bullpen

Startes go 5 and the 2nd guy goes 4 thus eliminating the pen except for game 4

Max needs to work the FB/Curve and attack these bums. Less cutter/slider/ whatever they want to call it and establish the mid 90’s FB and curve

I don’t think Joc can play CF and I’m fairly confident Ozuna isn’t coming back.

They're directing their heat at the GM, which is understandable, but it probably should truly be directed at ownership. Ownership lays out a philosophy of how they want the team run and then hire GMs to execute that vision.

Even more baffling than the trade itself (which is what the players seem to be mad about) is how they got essentially nothing in return.
