Did we lose to inferior opponents? No? Cool. Pretty sure the possibility of losing to the Reds in whatever the hell MLB called the first wild card round was where the “not that good” conversation originated.

Nah, just play Lindor at third and keep Dans at SS. You give yourself the best infield defense at baseball and don’t have to give Lindor $300M to play SS. Dans is a good player and won’t be super expensive the next two years. We need to keep him.
And actually replace Langeliers/Shewmake with Riley and I bet Cleveland would take that.
Definitely time to cash some chips in. Huge amount of payroll coming off, still have some good prospects and teams looking to cut salary and add cheap players.
Waters is a top 50 prospect
Langeliers and Shewmake are recent first round picks and top 10 organizational prospects. Or you can give them Riley who was a former top 50 prospect.
Davidson is a top 15 lefty prospect in baseball.
Ender is scheduled to make $8.5M. They are still gonna save $12-13M after trading Lindor and taking Ender.
Plesac is 26 and while he’s good he’s not a super duper talented arm that throws 98. And Cleveland soured on him.
Am I saying that is the fairest trade ever? Maybe not, but I think that’s pretty damn good value. Maybe you keep Shewmake and add Riley and Langilers to that deal and it makes it more fair.
