The Atlanta Braves

Sad that Snit won manager of the year again. if we fired him today there isn't another team that would consider him imo. He's got to be the worst manager to ever win that award.
Bob Melvin's won it 3 times - twice in Oakland and once with the D'backs. Dusty Baker I always thought was highly overrated and he won it 3 times too. Very, very bad postseason manager.

They definitely don't give those out because of postseason achievements or reputation. Snit got it on the basis of he won division titles in years where nobody thought he was going to. There's something to be said for that, but I still don't think he's very good.

It’s a damn shame Fitz didn’t have a real QB for the like three first ten years of his career

Also, I don’t believe it’s been mentioned, but while the Astros assistant GM was definitely a dumbass and inappropriate, there is amazing outrage over some words that were said that didn’t involved some sort of slur.

Aggressively taunting women about domestic assault is disgusting. Dude deserved to get fired.

But beyond that, most of the outrage I saw was actually directed at the team rather than the dumbass for going full-on Trump-style FAKE NEWS and accusing the SI reporter of lying about it. If the Astros had just released a statement saying "we're looking into it" and then fired the guy it would have been a much much smaller story.

Because it was completely tone deaf and directed at a female reporter. Let’s pretend that Osuna had assaulted a black man while yelling “I hate n*****s!” and this idiot assistant sought out a black reporter to yell “THAT’S WHY WE TRADED FOR HIM!” as if performance justifies the trade and erases the past.

I’m not in the camp that any player that ever messed up in some fashion, whether it be assault, DUI, whatever.... should be banned from playing the game and making a living, but their team/organization should never celebrate their successes in the faces of those that the player’s prior actions have impacted.
