The Atlanta Braves

Got my MRI results back. It’s honestly a little worse than I thought. Two discs are bulging and one is herniated. The herniated disc is so degenerative that it has compressed to the point where the bones are touching. There’s essentially nothing left in between the L3 and L4 vertebrae.

At this point, it comes down to how much pain I can deal with. If I can’t maintain an acceptable lifestyle, I’ll have to have fusion surgery.

I go back in 6 weeks to see if physical therapy is making a meaningful difference.

get an inversion table, trust me they work.

Yup moving Soroka backs Sunday basically confirms this. I’m nervous DK is pitching game 1.
I saw a stat that the Cards pretty much have the same wRC+ vs RHP and LHP so we should just throw who we feel is best. I’m cool with DK over Folty and Soroka since he is a vet.

My concern is I can see it Ron Darling or John Smoltz or whoever calls the game saying “you know Keuchel hasn’t pitched bad today, not a lot of hard contact, the Cards are just hitting them where they ain’t” as it is 4-1 in the 5th inning and the Braves are losing.

Also, with the fact I work Thurs/Fri/Sun/Mon till 9pm on those nights, I’m most likely going to miss all of the games or have to watch on my phone. I’m thinking I will just follow updates on my phone and record the games to watch afterwords 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

This is a slippery slope because when we win you won’t be able to watch any other games until eliminated

2 weeks ago Julio had a 3.31 ERA, now it’s at 3.81, goodness gracious. It’s really hard to raise your ERA that much as a SP in September, in such a short span.

Julio’s ERA over the last 5 seasons is 3.90, gonna end up right about there this year too. Ball never lies, folks.

I’d still seriously consider exercising his option, you could do a lot worse than that on the back end of a rotation.

You can only walk people and flip 87 with minimal movement for so long before it catches up to you.

if Julio were steady, he wouldn’t have as many detractors. Games like his last few starts really stick in the craw. He can string together some excellent starts and then just s hit down his leg for the next 3. Then rinse, wash and repeat. But, he has always lived dangerously on the mound. Sometimes the hammer, sometimes the nail.

One way or the other, it looks like we’re gonna have mostly all Pruitt recruits and underclassmen in the two-deep before much longer.

Yes and someone else in the AD, I didn’t talk to him or anything just something that was passed along. Apparently line up with what Alabama insiders are saying too. Pruitt is very close with a lot of the Bama admin still
Very interesting.

I’ve got a couple of guys I talk to in the athletic office and they swear up and down Fulmer brought in Chaney to be the failsafe in case Pruitt doesn’t get it going. Pruitt doesn’t seem like the kind of guy who could deal with that.
