I’ve read/seen he truly loved playing in Atlanta with Ronnie and was fine taking a discount. The Braves also shrewdly doubled both Ronnie and Ozzie’s pay this year and next as part of their contract extensions. I think that played a big part for both of them considering neither was a huge bonus baby
