The Atlanta Braves

Imagine the outrage America would have if a guy who was suspended for PED’s in baseball won the World Series MVP in the same year

Lol i wanna go in the Patriots thread and tell ol' Hoptown that Matt Patricia called a hell of a game, maybe he is a genius.....but im not going to.

Don’t even try and get me in trouble lol

Their coordinators are cogs in the machines, spokes on the wheel

I’d be more excited if Rick Barnes didn’t have a tendency to **** the bed.

Other than Kzyzyzyzyski and Roy Williams and Tom Izzo, what college coach DOESN'T **** the bed in the tournament? Almost every team loses every year, which means that almost every coach who keeps a job a long time other than the very elite of the elite gets a reputation for losing. Hell, Bill Self and Calipari both have titles and they still have reputations for s***ing the bed in the tournament. You could argue that Izzo is the only guy in the whole sport who consistently outperforms his talent level in the tournament, and you can't hire him. So worrying about what's happened to Barnes in the past is pointless, because literally anybody else we could have would either be unproven or proven loser.

I like Barnes. And pointed to the things you posted when we hired him. He was a fantastic hire for Tennessee basketball at the time.

I’m just saying he had a tendency to underperform at Texas with some really talented teams.

Also the tournament is basically based on a lot of dumb luck - matchups, injuries, foul trouble 3%, etc.

I’m cool if they get to the Elite 8. A loss after that point likely means they lost to a team that is theoretically more talented. Anything before that would be rough.

I don’t know why Houston isn’t more on Harper. They only have $133M committed right now. Verlander’s $20M comes off the book after this year. They signed Brantley but still are right handed lefty. And you can move Bryce to 1B in a couple years if they want. Or keep him in a corner if Springer leaves and can make a trade to get a CF.
