That's a very reasonable take. I think the "He wanted to leave the whole time!!!" crowd is forgetting how he stayed through multiple blow-ups of the roster.

Agree for the most part, but the blow-ups were basically Wren and Gonzalez trying to keep their jobs and grasping at quick fixes, then reloading again.

True, but regardless of the reason for them Freddie stuck around through them. I'm sure the team would have obliged a trade if he wanted one.

I appreciate FF and wish it had worked out for him. My point was there weren’t too many good players that were shipped out during those trying times. Morton ,Heyward, McCann are ones that come to mind, but most of the others were rentals anyway.
