I've never thought it was a great coach, honestly. Even from his Texas days. He went 24-10 and won no hardware with a team that had Kevin Durant and D.J. Augustin. Rick is a good recruiter and I think is good at getting his team ready to play before a game. However, he is not a good in-game coach. Once the opposition sees something, they adjust to it and it's like he's got no answer after that. He isn't unique in that regard; there are a bunch of good college coaches who are poor in-game coaches.I'm now with Z on Barnes not being a good coach
