I tested Hulu last weekend and am on to YouTube this week. Sick of paying 2.5 times as much for DirecTV.

Takeaway so far is that they both kinda suck, but I’m gonna have to go with one of them because we don’t watch enough TV to make the difference worth it.

I've been happy with Hulu and I know people that like Youtube. It's not as clean changing channels as cable or dish, but once you're used to the clunky feel of waiting for the stream, it's no big deal.

Have they actually announced that they weren't able to come to an agreement? I know as of yesterday there was talk that all the Disney owned channels might be blacked out today, but I've still got all of them right now.

I've been happy with Hulu and I know people that like Youtube. It's not as clean changing channels as cable or dish, but once you're used to the clunky feel of waiting for the stream, it's no big deal.

Went with DTVNow for a few months and just switched to Hulu a couple weeks ago. Overall I like the product better and now get all local channels and (so far) haven’t heard about them having any issues with anyone. All that said, how the hell can this be the best they could come up with for their guide and channel changing?

All that said, how the hell can this be the best they could come up with for their guide and channel changing?

I went through the same thing. DTVNow was ok but too many issues. The streams definitely have to get better with guides, changing channels, DVR but they're all a work in progress. As long as they deliver the content for 1/2 the price, I'll deal with it.
