Agreed and to add to that there is talk of necessary clean up with new CFO who came in during December, on top of the issues they already had with cleaning up financials of all the smaller competitors they have absorbed. You're right that there is still risk of something bigger going on behind the scenes when something like this happens but the issuance of the special dividend at the end of last year would make me feel pretty good about the business as a whole.

Sure, which is why rooting for a team with corporate ownership sucks. The ROI in trying to win a championship vs merely maintaining a competitive enough team to keep fans' interest just doesn't make rational sense.

Numbers don't match that up at all and Dallas was in the AL. Soroka can't stay healthy, Touki is a rookie, and Gaus did better after coming to the Braves but still had a higher era than Keuchel last year. At worst you'd say he's even with Gaus right behind Folty. I say again, we sign Keuchel he is number 2 in the rotation day 1.

His SwStr rate went from 11% to 8.5%. Slider dropped 8 points in OSwing and 7 points in SwStr rate. He’s always been a guy that peppered the bottom of the zone to get people to reach for stuff. Won’t be able to do it now with that kind of a slider. K% went from 21.5% to 17.5%. Hit/9 went from 7.17 to 9.28. Ground ball rate dropping. Just think he is about to suck. Has to have a great defense around him.

You’re not wrong that he could just fall off a cliff. But his “average” still puts him at the top of our rotation. And maybe if you pencil in a slight decline he’s still our 3rd guy.

I don’t know. I’m not confident in Newk and I would believe any outcome with Folty. So that leaves me with Gausman that I really feel solidly about.
