The Atlanta Braves

there were some parts left out.

he met this broad on the day of the Braves/Cardinals playoff game and in a heated moment of jovially bliss he guaranteed playoff victory.

the game that very night was in “infield” fly
What?

There are no guarantees in beisbol! That’s like phuqqin’ crying… What a jinx. 🤞

I know we have Ritchie and Fuentes knocking on the door are there any position players to keep an eye on this year?
John Gil is probably the closest position player of note. Last year's draft class did have some interesting college players too, like Alex Lodise, Cody Miller, and Dixon Williams.

Tennessee will wrap up Week 1 of spring practice on Saturday as things get more and more physical. There’s certainly continued evaluations of players going on as the Vols have 46 new players on the roster.

Thursday’s workout took on a different tone with the addition of shoulder pads.

David Sanders set the tone early in one-on-one work with a pancake block that got everyone’s juices going, especially Sanders’. Ory Williams also had a win that got the offensive line going as well. Sanders has always had confidence and has always been a guy with energy, but he has been clearly trying to lead this week. Williams is going to be someone we will closely watch this spring to see how he develops at right tackle. Tennessee could end up with a lot of flexibility on that right side.

On the defensive line, coach Josh Heupel and defensive coordinator Jim Knowles have been very close spectators and have been hands-on in their involvement, especially with Rodney Garner absent. We don’t expect Garner to be back next week, but we aren’t ruling out his return this spring. Even veteran Steve Caldwell is helping out with some observations and some instruction. But it’s Andrew Jackson’s group on the practice field until Garner returns. Garner is involved in position meetings via Zoom until he gets back in the office and on the practice field.

Seeing guys move Thursday in shoulder pads, you could see a difference in Isaiah Campbell, Tyree Weathersby and Marion Dye. Daevin Hobbsshowed up some in one-on-one drills. Hobbs has tremendous talent and ability. His challenge from the coaches is to be more consistent play-to-play, drill-to-drill and practice-to-practice.

At linebacker, it’s a deep group. The depth of that group is part of why Ben Bolton decided to leave the team. William Inge has a lot of guys and that group understands the competition level in the room.

Jeremiah Telander has had a really good off-season changing his body and improving his numbers, but so has Brayden Rouse, Edwin Spillman and Amare Campbell. That group has a lot of talent in it.

Much was made by some fans on the GQ and on X this week about TK Keys and a practice rep. Keys and the receivers were doing those reps in that drill at 50% speed and Keys has not been fully cleared after missing most of last year with an injury. Keys said he hopes to be fully cleared later this spring. The focus with Keys is on fundamentals and techniques while learning the offense.

At quarterback, every observer talks about how effortless Faizon Brandon’s throws look. Brandon is actually working a great deal on his footwork and lower body to make it more a part of his throwing motion to create more consistency. From the little bit we have seen, the quarterbacks have thrown the ball well.

Overall, this team looks better as guys like Christian Gass have put on 20 pounds. Brayden Rouse is 12 pounds heavier. Tight end DaSaahn Brame is now up to 240 pounds. He arrived last January at 218. It’s a team that has added mass and strength and there’s no resting with it. Following Monday’s workout, it was straight to a team lift and workout. The workouts will be managed so there’s no drop off on the practice field. But the weight room work is not shelved until the end of spring practice.

Will be interesting to see the QBs battle. Unfortunately, we didn't get to see much of G-Mac last year. But I was impressed with the little I did see. He made quick decisions and avoided pressure pretty well. Overall, he looked calm and collected, unlike Merk who had happy feet, was terrible at avoiding pressure, and never looked sure of himself.
