I am very anti gatekeeping fandom in general but I feel comfortable suggesting that if someone does not watch the WBC, that someone is way closer to casual or not a baseball fan than to loving baseball.I said some players care. It's more about the viewership. I'm pretty sure most American viewers don't watch/care.
I don’t disagree with you in general but it is growing in popularity in the states, probably because it isn’t a forgone conclusion we’re going to win anymore.I think the some players care. I believe a lot of places in the world care.
I think the general baseball loving population in the USA doesn't care. Just give us the regular MLB season. WBC feels like another All star game that nobody wants.
