The Atlanta Braves

I’ve seen the Kupp catch a dozen times - and spot aside which everyone can agree is crazy that’s how we spot footballs in 2026 - I have no idea if it’s a catch or not. How is the NFL okay with that? How did we get here?

Never one time in the history of baseball has anyone looked at 17 angles of a play and not known whether it was a catch or not.

It's been all downhill ever since the Dez no-catch in that playoff game many years ago. I feel like everybody generally knew what a catch was until that call was overturned. Now even ball knowers look at 17 ultra slo mo replays and go "I'm not sure."

I agree but also should be noted…

Stidham’s fumble was also a forward pass.

LOL, I didn't watch any of the Championship games and didn't see who was in the Super Bowl until scrolling through X around midnight.
Experts agree that you cannot fully "make up" for diminished ball-knowledge by adding in extra ball-watching during other sports seasons. These deficits have negative long-term consequences. Consistent, daily knowing-ball is recommended.
