It's hard to beat the same team twice in a season (see OM/UGA, OU/Bama) but Indiana, in terms of how they are coached and prepared, seems like a higher caliber of team than any of those this year. Why do people assume the Oregon-Indiana game will have any different of a result than the one that happened in Eugene 4 months ago?
If the system stays that way, then sure. I would be willing to bet it gets fixed quickly and stops the portal from being the mess it currently is. Contracts, or something like it, will be coming.A lot of universities are letting young players walk this portal cycle because they’re collecting money on the sidelines, despite being talented, so they can use that $ for proven commodities that help immediately.
Only the elite high school kids will be taken by the big schools before too long. It’s not worth the $ and effort to develop someone who is about to leave.
I think this will make coaching simplified across the nation as well since kids will sparingly grow in a system.
