We weren’t gonna win it all with Joey, finishing the recruiting class strong and getting Knowles is about as good as we could hope for after a disappointing season.

They have to get a portal QB or really hope Brandon is a day 1 guy tho

A lot of people in the RF don't like the thought of that hire and they probably haven't bothered to look into what he did before PSU

Hell, even if their only exposure to him was watching PSU this year, they should know that the defense was only a problem in one game (that inexplicable UCLA loss). The team pretty much gave up after Franklin was fired but they defense kept playing pretty well after that.

Gundy ran an uptempo spread offense and under Knowles the defense actually outshined the offense. What he did at Okla St is what got him the Ohio St job.

I hope the Banks firing + Knowles hiring are moves Heup was 100% on board with and weren't forced upon him.

Heupel should be nowhere near the hot seat, but coaches who are forced into assistant coach moves against their will typically don't have long shelf lives after that.
