That's where I'm at. Isn't the program rolling at a level now where we don't have to take chances on troubled but talented kids? I can see Heup wanting this guy in 2021 but is it worth it today?

I'm thrilled the program and this class in particular is at a spot where he could dip out and our reaction should be "oh well."

If Keys was crazy, I’m taking the chance. Unsure on this one tho.

This fanbase is severely underestimating how freaking good Keys and Faizon are because they were no drama.

The staff believes he is an incredibly elite talent. So that’s why they took the chance.

There is nothing wrong with the kid in general. It doesn't seem to be a character issue like Boo.

By all accounts he has a great relationship with Pope and Heup. And he and Keys are pretty close. He just wants to go to OSU.

The most likely outcome is that we simply release him from his LOI.

I wonder what makes PSU better or different than the multitude of jobs he previously turned down. I seem to remember people saying that the only jobs he might possibly leave Ames for were Ohio St or Notre Dame. Really thought he was going to be an Iowa St lifer.

I think he is from Pennsylvania or Ohio.. also maybe a realization that Iowa state just isn’t that cool

It's also wild that he wasn't higher on PSU's list. He's a hell of a coach to just kind of fall into. When we did panicked or botched searches, we ended up with Dooley and Beldar.
