The Atlanta Braves Thread

Richardson was shook during a home game against Kentucky. Neyland breaks people. I watched it get to Baker Mayfield in a big way. Richardson does not have the mental stuff to endure this place. Florida is in trouble. The rankings or talent of the two teams are not what makes this matchup different than years past. In previous years Florida had had dudes who are about it. Richardson isn’t.

They also don’t have the horses like years past. They usually had some WR who gave us fits or a couple dogs on defense that can wreak havoc. I see none of that this year

Ventrell Miller and Brenton Cox are very good. Miller didn't play for them against USF.

Will be important for us not to lose contain when we blitz Richardson. He is a horrible passer but can still run for 150 if we don't effectively spy him. Banks better be poring over the UK and USF film and looking at what they did.

We better hope it shakes AR more than Baker, because Baker, despite how poorly he played for 2.5/3 quarters, kicked us in the nuts in the fourth quarter.

Given his little freak out when asked the "give up" question, I went onto YouTube last night and found the whole press conference. Dude was super exasperated the entire time, not just during that question. He's 3 games into year 2 and he already publicly looks like he is struggling with the job.

Roughly 2 1/2 weeks left and I’ve got a nice cushion. I’ve been in this league for at least 15 years and I’ve never won it. If I can hold on, I’ll pocket around $1500 and that will fund my Vegas trip next month. 😂

Don’t forget the little people when you make it to the top. Good luck Reg

Nice. I’m going the last week of October

That’s the point. It shook a Heisman for 3 quarters. Neyland melts people. And he’s not a heisman

...and he led them on a comeback win. Let's break a guy and embarrass him. As you said, AR is no Baker Mayfield, so it is possible but the OU game brings back bad memories, no matter how wild the atmosphere was.

I hate that game so much. Coleman Thomas made Eric Striker look like Lawrence Taylor. Baker escaped like 3 sacks from Derek Barnett.

That Oklahoma game was brutal. We had it.
I've gotten flamed in other forums on VN for saying this, but I don't really like it that that game lives on so strongly with our fanbase in such a positive way. We even had Admiral featured in that hype video talking about how loud and intimidating it was. Yeah, it was so loud and intimidating, and the sound was so indescribable, that we let them come back and win.

I’m not putting too much noise into the Neyland noise factor against FL. It didn’t stop the likes of the great John Brantley and Jeff Driskel from hanging a W on us in the last 10 years or so. Do I think we will win? Yes, but it won’t be because of fan noise.

Rightly, or WRONGLY, Heup will be judged on the outcome of this game. If we win, it’s all gravy and we’re on the right track, even though the expectations will be even higher and even more unrealistic. But if we lose? Man, it’s gonna be hard to shake that “sky is falling” mentality because we’re so used to it.
