The Atlanta Braves Thread

How can you be a manager of anything and respond with "I don't know" when asked a question about your job?

I mean this is basic effing stuff here Snit. No one is even asking you the hard questions.

Even Freddie's decline years are really good. Special player. Sucks both sides couldn't reach an agreement. But I blame AA more on that than I do Freddie's side. If you are only apart 1 extra season and 30ish million, you do it for a franchise icon. Especially since you basically then gave the same contract he was asking for to Olson.

Those two pictures are tending in significantly different directions ☕🐸

10 Game difference in just half the season
Abnormal defensive split between two players that usually rate the same
Freddie's baserunning has aged

Freddie has still been the better hitter. Olson has been great this year. I'm not buying Olson has 1.4 WAR better because of his defense.

Freddie was the better hitter the first 6 weeks of the season.

That's the thing. There's an easy 10 second response here. "I know he's rehabbing but right now we don't have any specific timeframe. We hope we could him back this year." That's all that has to be said. The fact he can't even bother to give 10 seconds to give a basic, non-answer and says "I don't know" just proves he's mentally checked out and doesn't give a ****.

I knew Harris has been bad but I didn't realize it was this bad

Among qualified hitters (3.1 plate appearances per team game) entering last night’s contest, Michael’s .578 OPS is seventh-worst in all of MLB. And his .245 OBP? Dead last.

Is his defense still worth putting him out there everyday? They have options when Profar comes back

No one can play centerfield.

If you want to do what’s best for him, send him down.

If you want to do what’s best for winning, you do have to keep running him out there.

The Dodgers have spent over 650 million for the current SPs on their roster. It is actually 1.35 billion if you include Ohtani.

They currently have gotten a combined total fWAR of 2.9 rom their starting pitching. That ties them for 24th in the league with Miami and just .4 fWAR ahead of the Rockies.

You just hate to see it.

They have the best record in baseball and hilariously low odds to win the WS.
