The Atlanta Braves Thread

Crazy how many years Stafford wasted in Detroit man. All time “what if” if he was drafted by a competent organization

Hilarious the national hot take artists were like “welll you know idk if he’s a winner or that good” and I’m like “yeah the only we weren’t the worse team in the league every year was because of him” lol

Interesting. Guess who would play RT then? Carvin coming back will be the LG and I’d imagine Wright stays at LT. Maybe have Spraggins be the 6th man and the UF kid start at RT?
Mincey, Crawford, Perry are all question marks. Wouldn’t be shocked to see us bring in another OT in the portal. I’m somewhat worried about recruiting (think Scott is right that our NIL needs to catch up in a bad way) but we are such an attractive team for transfers that I think we can upgrade in the short term.

The college football landscape has changed. There is no doubt. No one is asking the question about the big elephant in the room though. How is the NIL going to play out in recruiting on NCAA 23 when it comes out in a couple of years? The game hasn’t been out since 14, things are might different. Yes, I’ll be 40 when it comes out, and yes, I will be a grown man playing a video game.

Im trying to figure out the problem? I plan on being a grown man who plays video games.

As a former video game player (and I bet I'd still like them, just don't have time anymore) I'd have super low expectations about that game. EA Sports has a monopoly and is lazy. It wouldn't surprise me if NIL wasn't even in it and features that were in games 10 years ago are either stripped out or haven't been improved upon.

That game is so anticipated and they know people will be buying it just because it has real players and there hasn't been a game in 10 years.

Getting ready to call conspiracy about these COVID tests (I have no idea what the conspiracy would be, just find it weird to see NFL and NBA have literally the same issues the last two days).

It's more than past time to start dealing with it as an endemic problem. There's a vaccine for it now. Get it, don't get it, I don't care either way, you live with the consequences either way and life goes on. The NBA has something like a 95% vaccination rate among players. Just let them play.

There is a segment of the media and policy makers that seem hellbent on keeping COVID at a crisis-type level of urgency forever, like it kills 50% of the people who get it, and it is exhausting and impractical. It's like they want to live in March or April 2020 forever.
