Exactly. You'd think people would start getting used to the fact that we suck. Like I said earlier, it's like people fell asleep after the Florida win in '01 and just woke up this morning. I mean, has anyone been paying attention?
I witnessed in person the following game in the SECCG where a far less superior team in LSU thoroughly beat a Vols team that with a win was headed to the title game in Pasadena. Had tickets for that game lined up too. But nooooooo...
Vols were overwhelmed with a back-up LSU QB that knew six plays.
Watching the USC game and I wonder how many nights a week Lane stays up wishing he stayed at Tennessee.
Kiffin fired
Agree conpletely.
I read they had a white walk-on punter/receiver playing WR last night and only two healthy scholarship WRs. What are you supposed to do with that? Still scored 40+.
they've been bad, but it still blows my mind that people have basically just forgotten that usc has been 10 scholarships short for the past three years. Can anyone name another program that fielded top 10 teams all while being stripped of nearly half it's scholarships?
This is probably just more pat haden wanting to hire his own guy rather than go back to full capacity in the future with garrett's guy. Kiffin will land on his feet i'm sure, he's a competent coach and a great recruiter. I doubt he'll end up in some sort if unemployment line like some would like to believe.
Umm the scholarship restrictions started in the recruiting cycle of 2012. Do y'all really think that is the reason they got their ass handed to them week in and week out last season? They were loaded with NFL talent on offense and defense and laid the greatest egg in the history if collegiate sports. Realistically, this is the first year that the scholarship limitations will start to hit more, but it is not like they aren't a team loaded with 4 and 5 stars. The next 2 years is when you will see the most impact from the scholarship limitations. Also, Kiffin appears inherited Barkley whom most had as the number one overall pick in the draft and made him a middle rounder. He is not that great as a head coach.
