I agree with all that but it twas just a joke as you still deserve some friendly ribbing from last weeks comment, IMO.

I stand by everything I said last week. For teams in the SEC, marquee OOC match ups have no place in the current landscape. You stand to gain nothing while the potential is there to ruin your season with a disastrous loss or devastating injury. Just ask Georgia.

Not that we're good enough these days to worry about it but, starting next year with the playoffs, I couldn't disagree more.

The playoffs will certainly change this, but when these games were scheduled, there was no benefit to playing top notch OOC opposition. Just out 4 wins on the schedule and do the best you can in conference.
