1. It'll never happen.
2. That said, Texas is the one school who could throw out an offer that even Bama couldn't match, so if Saban's getting bored that would be the one place that might lure him away.
3. However, it'll never happen.

Best case scenario is that Texas goes after him hard and Bama has to commit to a $100, 10-year contract to keep Saban that ends up eventually submarining them.

Agree it will never happen, with the arrogance of Texas though Saban is going to have to tell them no multiple times.

Thurs night road games are the worst. I honestly thought Clemson was at home.

That being said, not worried yet.

I just don't see him leaving Alabama for another college gig.

I agree. And I don't see him going back to the NFL either, not now that he's north of 60. That said,

1. Texas has about as much money as the whole SEC put together,
2. Austin >>>> everything in Alabama,
3. the path to the playoff will be far easier from the B12 than any other conference, and
4. the recruiting situation there is so cushy that that's a job you could do until you're 75.

I give it maybe a 2 percent chance. Either way, merely flirting with Texas is a certain way to enlarge the Saban family fortune mightily.

I'll be pulling for that 2 percent chance. All for somebody ditching Bama and shutting Texas A&M fans up
