I agree with you from a schematic and playcall standpoint. We didn't fully try to exploit them.
I guess I just looked at the size and talent of their front seven vs. the size and talent of our offensive line and thought, "We're bigger and stronger than them and we should dominate their defensive front." It shouldn't have mattered whether we ran from the I, the pistol, or the shotgun - but obviously it actually did (among other things).
I don't feel like we tried to exploit that advantage at all. And annoyingly, I feel like we didn't try to exploit it because we were trying to run an offense for which we don't have the personnel. I defecate in Butch Jones's general direction.

Oh, I'm by no means throwing in the towel on Jones yet, but I'm hugely disappointed that he didn't even appear to try to win the game by running the damn ball behind his OL full of NFL prospects. Great coaches tailor what they want to do to the players they happen to have. Butch didn't.

How can it be anything else? Peterman's failure to even sort of compete for the job has to be 100 percent on himk doesn't it?
