Too bad we can't hit fast forward. Stability and continuity with this coaching staff will work wonders eventually.

Braves beat San Diego 2-1 and Nats lose to Phils 5-4!
Magic number should be down to 4 now! Need the same thing to happen on Sunday(Braves win and Phils win) and have the Braves clinch on the 16th or 17th against the Nats!

God the FF is a dumpster fire tonight. It always sucks to watch UT get beat, and today may have been the most thorough ass kicking that they've ever been administered since I started following the team, but anyone with any sense had to see that coming.

After watching some of the post game videos, I think Butch is doing everything he can to keep the quit from getting back into this team. Worley looked shell shocked.

I also think it's time to put to rest the narrative of this current offensive line being good. They just never consistently step up to the challenge. Why are we so concerned about next year's o-line when we may not be losing as much as we think?

I don't know whether it matters whether they're any good or not. We never even attempted to blow Oregon off the ball and run right at them, did we? Everything was from the shotgun; everything was four or five wide. One of the very thin theoretical advantages we had going in was our big OL vs their possibly undersized DL, and as far as I could tell we never committed to trying to exploit it. If we're never going to try to run right down anyone's throat then why GAF whether we have a good OL.

I agree with you from a schematic and playcall standpoint. We didn't fully try to exploit them.

I guess I just looked at the size and talent of their front seven vs. the size and talent of our offensive line and thought, "We're bigger and stronger than them and we should dominate their defensive front." It shouldn't have mattered whether we ran from the I, the pistol, or the shotgun - but obviously it actually did (among other things).

Again, 6 wins and a bowl game is the goal

No kidding. O the handwringing. How did anyone with half a brain not expect Oregon to frogstomp us? Hats off to the Braves thread, at least; we all expected an annihilation.

Win in November. That's all that matters.
