I was just in the Apple Store 30 minutes ago buying a new keyboard. (My Perfect Little Girl knocked a cup of my coffee over into the old one.) The 5C is a really nice phone -- as in, it feels nicer in the hand than any of them since the original 2007 iPhone. I expected to sneer at it a little bit but I was really impressed.

Nice! That is a great improvement. A less cumbersome design and more ergonomically sound device would be much more appealing.

I sort of wish it were just the slightest bit grippy on the back -- like, say, the Amazon Paperwhite Kindle, if you've seen one. But the plastic feels great. Much, much nicer than the 3G/3GS line of plastic iPhones.

I'm going to replace my 4S with a new 5S, I guess. My battery's starting to go, and the camera's a priority, as many kid pictures as I take.

Good friend of mine on the field right now in Chicago. Sending me pictures of black Jesus and with TP

If Texas decides they want Saban and won't take 'no' for an answer, can Bama compete?

Bama can't compete with Texas if they decide money's no object, but money's almost certainly not going to be the deciding factor. Is Saban getting a little bored? Does Saban want to leave a machine and deal with rebuilding again? What does Mrs Saban think about Tuscaloosa versus Austin? Where do they want to retire?

I will be pretty shocked if this doesn't result in Saban getting a giant raise from Alabama -- not what Texas could have paid him, but still enormous -- and him staying put.

Yeah, but he isn't going to be paid 50 million a year to coach. Bama can easily match 10.

Why wouldn't Texas offer 20? It sounds ludicrous, but they've got it, and if he could even sort of replicate what he's done at Alabama, he would still be a bargain at that price. Dozens of pro athletes make over $20m a year and Saban's worth more than most of them.

I don't think he's going anywhere, but if Texas wants to, they could make it extremely uncomfortable for Bama.

Everyone in the Around The NCAA forum keeps asking if Muschamp will leave Florida for Texas...why the F would Texas want his ass now? I'd be shocked if they don't make a play for a huge name coach...NFL, etc.
