Minus his throwing arm
Was definitely a struggle this year and murdered his defensive ratings but he honestly had a really, really, really good season in every other aspect. Even "fielding," throwing was just a mess. He raaaaaked too.
And also he just basically made Americans collectively smile which we could all use more of.
Am I the only one who's getting nervous about home field? I know it's baseball and supposedly it isn't as important, but the Braves have been lights out at The Ted this year. It couldn't hurt to have some extra home games, IMO.
The stakes in this race are literally ONE home game because the AL has home field in the WS and unless the Braves totally implode this weekend, they should at least finish second and have homefield in the NLDS. Still, it would be nice to go ahead and get it.
Also, does anybody know how they determine the first round matchups? Is it strictly seeded based on record or do they make accommodations such that teams from the same division don't face one other in the first round?
