Still no word on Prado, expecting to hear from Braves official any time. X-Rays taken longer than usual
I'm glad somebody else thinks this. I only look him up when specific stuff happens. I can't follow him for precisely what you are talking about. Between the play by play and random goofy stuff about music nobody cares about, he clogs up Twitter accounts with complete garbage. You're a masochist if you're following O'Brien. Occasionally useful info, but guy needs to figure out that nobody needs him to do play-by-play on Twitter.

We get the exact same phenomenon from some people in our game threads. It's like people get so hung up on the ability to communicate en masse that it doesn't dawn on them what to use it for.Why can't guys like him figure out that anybody who cares about the Braves enough to follow him on Twitter have a dozen easier ways to follow the games? I want news from him. I don't need him to post a dozen messages during the games to tell me what the score is and when they're changing pitchers, because I ALREADY KNOW.
Wes Rucker, whom I otherwise think is a great source, is guilty of this too. Why bother sending Twitter messages about what's going on in the football games? Do these guys think that there might be people stranded somewhere with smartphones on which everything else is disabled except the Twitter app?
#Braves' Prado's X-rays were inconclusive. He'll see a doctor Saturday for further evaluation.
A perfect example of the agony that is following Dave O'Brien on Twitter.Just to reiterate for those who perhaps missed it: Braves' Prado's finger X-rays inconclusive. He'll see a doctor Saturday for evaluation
Those are the people that used to call in and ask Skip Caray where you get those special radios for the games that they said were "Braves radio only".It's hard to get too annoyed at the guys in the game threads because, inexplicably, there always seem to be a bunch of people in those threads asking what the score is. Uh, you obviously have access to a web browser. Does it not open any other sites besides volnation.com?
I was thinking of ordering Of Mikes And Men the other day on Amazon, any chance you have read it yet and can give me a recommendation?I miss Skip and Pete an absurd amount. I'm heavily a radio guy -- even at home, I tend to mute the TV and carry a little radio around the house with me when the games are on -- and while Sutton and the new guy are fine, summer isn't the same without Skip and Pete (and Ernie). I would probably drop everything and clear the decks if I heard that Pete was going to fill in for somebody for a weekend.
When nostalgia is such a powerful motivator, you might as well start shopping for cemetery plots.
I've actually been pleasantly surprised by Jim Powell and Don Sutton. It's easy to forget that except for his hiatus with the Nationals, Sutton has been around for about 20 years.I miss Skip and Pete an absurd amount.
