Granted the OL play has been amazing this year and that helps a lot.

Something I’d like to see starting next week — gotta get Morris more involved as the season goes along. Bishop and Lewis aren’t popping and Morris has the most shake out of everyone.

Could be a difference maker in a game like OU.

Granted the OL play has been amazing this year and that helps a lot.

Passing game issues last year were caused by:

1 - Nico being unable to make a second read. Given Ohio St dominated us I'm not naive enough to think it would have made a difference in the game, but I still shudder at Nico not even seeing a wide open guy underneath on the first drive of the game on 3rd down for what would have been an easy first down. He even had a clean pocket; it got pushed in a little bit on his left side, his eyes instantaneously stopped looking downfield, and I think he ended up running around for no gain. That happened a bunch last year, more so than you'd think if you go back and watch tape. Based on what we've seen so far, that's a read and throw Joey would make 98 out of 100 times.
2 - Nico overcooking deep balls
3 - WRs not making a play on a less-than-perfect throw, or outright dropping balls. I know most of the heat from people is on Nico, especially after he left and people feel more free to bash him, but this happened a lot too.

Also, give me more Star Thomas and less Peyton Lewis. Lewis has underwhelmed me this year.

We're gonna need a portal RB or 2 this off-season, imo. Is there a reason we aren't taking even 1 RB this cycle? I know we struck out on Hiter, but I would think we'd have a decent 4 star or rising 3 star on board.

Thomas is the best back of the 3, and honestly it isn't even close. I love the rotation we have though.

It's weird looking at the top 247 top 100 and having to scroll before seeing a player committed to UGA or OSU. And we have 2 players before seeing 1 player committed to Bama, UGA, OSU, Miami, or Oregon.

One of the reasons I thought we had a great chance to win this game was because I thought he couldn't/wouldn't be able to make throws downfield, and I was dead wrong.

Last year at Baylor, DGG (as a sophomore) was already better than Shekai Mills-Knight, who was a 4-star senior committed to Ole Miss.
