So we were much better than Alabama against two ACC teams that have 0% chance to win the ACC. Being much better than Alabama after week 1 is reason enough for me to get excited!

They were +2500 before the Alabama game. Syracuse was +4000. FSU's O/U was 7.5 and Cuse was 5.5.

Again, I'm not saying Syracuse is some sort of world beater. But that was a 10-win team last year. I think saying we can infer zero from that game as if we played ETSU game 1 isn't correct. Unless you think the only thing that matters in 2025 is beating Georgia.

The gap between Syracuse and ETSU is less meaningful than the gap between Syracuse and Georgia.

It was 6.5 wins last year and they won 10. I think watching zero snaps and going off Vegas lines to determine if a team is horrible or not, then saying we are unable to infer any positives from our game is silly.

I don't need Vegas odds to tell me Ty Redmon can play CB right now, Star Thomas is going to make some plays, Lance Heard is improved, etc.

I appreciate what you are saying.

I didn’t watch any snaps because I was busy, because I thought Tennessee was 3 touchdowns better than Syracuse, and Tennessee won a sweat free game. There’s nothing in that game that moves the needle.

And Vegas, as well as people who make a living trying to beat Vegas, have a much more insightful opinion on Tennessee football than Tennessee fans do.

So, if anything isn’t silly, it’s the Vegas lines. How you choose to cascade down from that is welcome opinion for discussion.

I’m sad because he likely isn’t picking up that option and because AA and Boras haven’t made a deal as you said in his entire Braves tenure

Hey guys - the general consensus coming out of Saturday was syracuse power rating adjusted down. They may only win 2 ACC games.
