The Atlanta Braves - Hello darkness

Good job on the pods, boys.
There's really not a lot of that stuff available. Your quality is good and I think the lack of good content available gives you the chance to build a following and do something with it.

Gibson is better than we give him credit for. McCoy came out a lot last year against Alabama. Gibson was matched up with Williams and that's the only guy Milroe would ever look at. I don't remember it mattering because Gibson isn't JAG. He's very strong. We are fortunate to have a McCoy/Gibson pairing.

I have questions about the DL. Is the DL going to be a solid unit or is the DL going to be a weapon that takes over games? Our front was wildly overrated last year and could not generate impactful plays against playoff contenders. 9-3 will be a strain if we can't get consistent impact from that group. The talent level has continued to increase each year. We need that to translate to impact.

William Inge is a dude. Stealing him from Bama and getting a Garner/Inge team for the front 7 is superb stuff.

I think Jordan Ross is going to have a big year. None of the beats have really mentioned him all spring/fall, then CJH randomly mentions him last week as a guy that has had a great fall camp.

He also wasn't hyped up on the beat at all last year, which ended up proving out because he did nothing. However that could have been a function of the D-line simply being so deep that he wasn't really expected to play outside of special teams. Hubbs commented on his pod yesterday that he "got a lot more mature" this offseason; not that he was a troublemaker last year, but I think kind of went through the motions and didn't take the job seriously enough.

Plus the LOS positions aren't spots where you expect big contributions from true freshmen anyway.

If Oz and Harris are fixed and Profar stays something close to this, we are going to score a lot of runs in 2026 if people stay healthy. Hopefully Riley can spend more time on the active roster than off it.

So nice, we did it twice! (Boos run me off stage)

Re: Pearce - many in our fanbase thought he was overrated because they look at just the sack number. He ended up with 7.5, which is good but not "elite" and was 2.5 less than he ended up with the season before. I think many were expecting him to end up with something like 12-15 sacks and be among the leaders in the country in that category, and anything less than that would be disappointing.

He affected the play a lot, in both the pass and run game, which is borne out in the PFF numbers and just watching his tape as y'all mentioned. He was drafted probably right where he should have been.
