The Atlanta Braves - Hello darkness

aTm is free to leave anytime they like. It’s not like there wouldn’t be a line of schools begging for their vacated spot.
I haven’t kept up with any of the speculation but I do think it matters what they were told when they joined the conference. It’s not like that’s ancient history

Max has been our best pitcher for a few years now
IMO, Fried is a #3-4 rotation guy that will give you a reliable number of starts with stretches of very good and a gem once every four or five starts. Braves need him and I hope he’s here a long time, but he is not an ace. It’s a shame his ability to hit will probably never be seen again after this year. i

Best pitcher does not equal ace

strand rate, BABIP, HR%.. I could go on.

Lol on what planet? Definitely not 2018. Definitely not 2019. I’ll give you last year for quantity but Ian was (better) just as good.

A few years now? Hilarious but expected.
He pitched almost 2x the innings Ian did last year. 2019 he was right up there with Soroka and better in a few advanced metrics as well. Also, he’s actually been on the mound and not out. I remember this same sentiment for a certain pitcher from you who’s currently out of baseball.. so yes, he has. Charlie has obviously came in and been what we needed this year tho at the top

2019 Soroka 2.68 ERA
2019 Max 4.02 ERA

You wanted to say double the innings instead of saying 24 more innings because that would highlight the absurdity of how small the sample size is. It’s okay.

Julio is on the Tigers DL. Thanks for playing

You can’t say “exceptionally lucky” in 2020, but only choose to look at ERA in 2019 Instead other advanced and meaningful metrics.

Why do you only care about his 2019 advanced metrics?

Nothing wrong with being a 3.5-4 ERA guy.

Feels disrespectful to early Steve but I’d have to look at the numbers and I’m not here to shade Max
Wasn’t meant as shade. Like you said, the first 3-4 years of Avery were great. What I meant is that he’s a #2-3 that flashes Ace stuff in spurts.
