I have questions about Folty, but I think a lot of it goes back to game 5. I really dont want to say this, but I wonder if he got hooked on something during the off season.

Really hope that’s not it, but that’s exactly where my mind went last night. I hadn’t paid much attention to his appearance when I saw him last week against the Marlins but really noticed it last night. It looks like he’s down 30 lbs.

It’s weird for sure. I kinda feel for the guy, pretty sure he has some mental issues.

But he if we’re putting up numbers despite appearance, reduced velocity, he’d still be pitching. He just isn’t good enough.

Not only does he look like he's dropped weight between 2020 and 2019, he looks like he dropped some weight between his debut (2014) and last year.

The immediate DFA makes me think there are other issues afoot besides just the bad performance.

Yes but I think the idea is that the Braves aren’t just going to try and make him a FA. They still want in the fold (allegedly)

Folty is listed on the roster at 195. There's no way I believe that. For 18 and 19 he was listed at the same weight

Of course they do, but that doesn’t mean he’s going to accept it if he can get a major league deal somewhere else. I think he’d have to clear waivers though.
