Not really. Over the last 2 years, Elder has the highest ERA (6.36) in baseball with a minimum 150 innings. The next closer pitcher is someone named Slade Cecconi, whose ERA is nearly a full run lower at 5.50.

Even putting it back to 2023, since July 1, 2023, Elder has the highest ERA in baseball at 5.90.

Joey Wentz was also at a 5.42 ERA in 101.1 IP before coming to Atlanta. He has dropped that number down to 4.72 in his short stint in Atlanta.
