The Atlanta Braves - Hello darkness my old friend

As bad as Ozzie has been, somehow he has managed to post .9 fWAR and 1.3 bWAR.

I can't imagine AA will hesitate to pick up the 2026 option for a difference of 3 million. There simply isn't a player available you are going to find for 3 million that is going to give you any better production than that. Even if you think Ozzie is a bench piece from here on out, you aren't going to find a better bench piece for 3 million.

Probably not. Just at 15 wins per season, it would take 20 years to reach.

Every active pitcher with 100+ wins (20) is at least 31 years old, and only 3 under the age of 33.
It's a shame because Skenes should already have 30+ wins if he were on a better club. Honestly, he would probably be close to 40 wins on a team like the Dodgers over the last 2 seasons.

The way they manage young pitchers too.

Pitch counts. Inning limits. Reliance on bullpen.

200 to 250 wins is hard to do anymore

Cole (153), Sale (143), Gray (122), and Wheeler (113) are 4, 6, 7 and 8 currently* on the active wins list. All are 34 and older. I doubt any of them get to 200.

Cole is the only one I see having a shot to get to 200. Sale likely would have made it had he not basically missed 3 years.

Nola (105, 17th) maybe could get there, he's 32.

*1-3 all have over 200 wins.

The Mets losing DeGrom was pretty significant in us winning the division in 2021 and ultimately the WS. But damn it sucks we didn't get to see DeGrom finish that season. Up until he got injured, he was having the best season from a pitcher I've seen in my lifetime.

If the Big Ten teams that had found about this in September 2022 actually had reported instead of trying to band together and trick Michigan, then it wouldn't have happened.

This whole thing was stupid from the beginning. Deflategate, just the college version. Michigan shouldn't have done it. The Big Ten teams should have reported it when they found about it. It didn't matter because Michigan won the national title way after this stopped.

They cheated every year from 2021 until they won a title.

He doesn't look like he has missed any meals, but he's probably the best actual hitter in our system at the moment.
