I think Hartman should absolutely be top 20. I don't get why Guanipa is anywhere near the top 20. He's 7 months older than Hartman and having a significantly worse year at the same level.

The Tigers put Matt Manning on waivers last week. He has a 4.43 career major league ERA, including a 3.51 ERA over 27 starts between 2022 and 2023. We didn't put in a claim. Somehow we thought the rotting corpse of Carlos Carrasco was better than a 27 year old pitcher whose been roughly league average over the last 4 years.

The part that people are ignoring...... the offense being garbage is the problem.

The whole team is the problem. The starting pitching is garbage right now. The pen has been hot garbage all season. And for most of the season, we've run out hitters who are 20% or worse than league average.

If we were healthy, I do think we'd be a .500ish team though. But not really good.
